There was mild controversy over Monday Night Raw's viewership on Netflix in recent weeks, primarily due to Netflix's calculation for determining views of "total view hours for the program divided by the runtime" not providing the same ratings the streaming service supplied on their 'Tudum' weekly viewership figures. The viewership was either a few percentage points higher or lower than the number supplied by Netflix.

The streaming service has since clarified to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics how viewership for Monday Night Raw is calculated over the week, though, noting the final viewership number is a blend of live and on-demand views. This ultimately accounts for the discrepancy as the live and on-demand versions of Raw have different runtimes.

"This is a matter of the runtime changing live versus on SVOD. For live titles, we show the latest runtime on our Top 10. As an example, the January 6 premiere is listed as 2.4 hours long on Tudum (and on the product today) but was even longer live because of ads. When calculating Views, we implement a ‘Blended Views’ approach which calculates views for each individual cut (with its own runtime), and then takes the sum total (illustrated [in the example above])," a Netflix representative said.

WWE Raw has aired on Netflix since January 6, 2025 as part of a 10-year deal. WWE Raw's global views on Netflix are as follows:

  • January 6 - 5.9 million
  • January 13 - 3.7 million
  • January 20 - 3 million
  • January 27 - 2.9 million
  • February 3 - 3.1 million
