Former WWE NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose has responded to the controversy around her calling out Tiffany Stratton.

Rose criticised Stratton on a recent episode of her Power Alphas podcast, noting that Stratton used the catchphrase, 'Put some respect on my name', which is something Rose had used during her time with WWE. The catchphrase is a common utterance in sports and a distortion of the line by Birdman of 'put some respeck on my name' became a meme in 2016.

Rose was criticised for calling out Stratton and the former WWE talent addressed the controversy on another edition of her Power Alphas podcast.

"Twitter is so funny. From that last episode that we did about Tiffany Stratton, these haters out there...Let's just make something clear, I never bashed Tiffany Stratton. I actually put her over [in] another previous episode weeks before about how I think she's an amazing talent. I've always commended and highly complimented her. So people were just going nuts like, 'Oh my god you're just jealous.' You're this, you're that. I'm like guys, calm down, first of all. Kudos to Tiffany Stratton, okay, because I think she's an incredible talent. There's no hate, trust me. I'm at a point in my life where that's not where I go, trust me," Rose stated.

Tiffany Stratton previously responded to Rose's claims, saying: "Honestly, I think it's a little sad that she felt the need to go on her podcast and say something like that. But I wish her the best, honestly."

Stratton's WrestleMania 41 opponent was revealed on Friday Night SmackDown. Stratton will defend the WWE Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair.
