Bad Bunny is set to return to WWE later this year.

WWE announced today that the two-time GRAMMY award-winning artist will host the Backlash pay-per-view. The show will be held on Saturday, May 6 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

"In 2005 when I was a kid, I wasn't able to attend New Year's Revolution at el Coliseo. Finally, 18 years later WWE returns to the island with a massive event and this time I won't miss it," Bad Bunny said.

Triple H added: "We're excited to bring Backlash to San Juan as the demand for WWE premium live events outside of the continental United States continues to grow. Bad Bunny is one of the world's most popular entertainers and nowhere is that more evident than in his native Puerto Rico."

Backlash will be WWE's first pay-per-view in Puerto Rico since New Year's Revolution 2005. That show featured Muhammad Hassan vs. Jerry Lawler, Shelton Benjamin vs. Maven for the Intercontinental Title, and Kane vs. Gene Snitsky. The event was headlined by an Elimination Chamber Match for the World Heavyweight Championship that saw Triple H overcome Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Edge, and fellow Evolution stablemate Batista to retain the gold.

Bad Bunny has been a part of WWE since the 2021 Royal Rumble. He has so far competed at WrestleMania 37 and Royal Rumble 2022.
