John Cena Comments On WWE Return

John Cena seems to hint that his WWE career is really winding down

John Cena has commented on his emotional return during this past Monday's episode of Raw.

The hometown boy was visibly moved by the reception he received from the TD Garden in Boston as he made his entrance. Cena then had a verbal confrontation with United States Champion Austin Theory, which led to a match between the two being made official for WrestleMania 39.

After his segment, Cena introduced and embraced Cody Rhodes.

Taking to Twitter, the leader of the Cenation replied to a video of his return with: "Last night was the first time I entered the arena and had the thought that it might be the last time. I'll never be able to put into words how much I love the #WWEUniverse".

The 45-year-old has made fewer and fewer WWE appearances over the years as he continues to focus on his burgeoning career in film and television. Despite being busy in Hollywood, Cena has nonetheless managed to wrestle at least one WWE match every calendar year since his main roster debut in 2002.

Cena is still a draw for WWE, too, with his appearances typically helping to shift tickets after he is announced. His last WWE match - on the December 30, 2022 episode of SmackDown - resulted in a huge ratings increase for the show.
