Bandido Undergoes Surgery On Broken Wrist

Bandido has undergone surgery on his broken wrist

All Elite Wrestling star Bandido has undergone surgery, with the former ROH World Champion having a broken wrist repaired.

Bandido broke his left wrist during a match against Konosuke Takeshita on AEW Rampage in June, and posts to social media have confirmed that his operation was a success.

A former PWG World Champion, Bandido made his AEW debut in a match against then ROH World Champion Chris Jericho in September 2022, with Bandido’s impressive outing reportedly causing a scramble for his signature between AEW and WWE.

2023 has seen Bandido wrestle just 10 times for AEW, with reported visa issues forcing Bandido to work overseas for much of the year. Outside of AEW and Ring of Honor, Bandido has worked for the likes of AAA, The Crash Lucha Libre, GCW, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla amongst others.

At the time of writing there is no timetable for Bandido to make his in-ring return. Recovery time after undergoing broken wrist surgery can be anywhere between six weeks and four months, depending on the severity of the injury.
