Batista: CM Punk Will Be A Bigger Star In Movies Than He Was In Wrestling

Batista has tipped CM Punk to achieve success in Hollywood and become a major movie star. 

Former wrestlers The Rock, John Cena and Batista have all been cast in big Hollywood roles over the years and The Animal is set to star in upcoming movies Dune and Knives Out 2. 

Punk has taken on small roles in movies since departing WWE and The Straight Edge Superstar plays Ricky Rabies in Starz TV series, 'Heels.'

Doing the media rounds ahead of the 'Heels' premiere, Punk admitted on Movie Trivia Schmoedown he wants to follow in Batista's footsteps in Hollywood. The Guardians of the Galaxy star then noticed Punk's comments and Batista thinks the 42-year-old will be bigger in movies than he was in wrestling. 

Batista tweeted: "I already knew this. And the talent is obvious. He's going to be bigger in films than he was in wrestling. Save this tweet."

If Punk will achieve success on the big screen ultimately remains to be seen. The former WWE Champion is set to become a big name in the world of wrestling again, though, and he is expected to make his AEW debut during the August 20 edition of Rampage.
