Batista Requests Fit Finlay As WWE Hall Of Fame Inductor

“The Animal” makes his choice...

Multi-time WWE World champion Batista has made his choice of Hall of Fame inductor clear, and it's somebody he credits for altering the course of his career.

Batista tweeted Monday that he would like David "Fit" Finlay to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame in April of 2020.

Responding to a fan who suggested D-Von Dudley as a possible inductor, Batista wrote, "I owe a lot to all those names mentioned and many more but for personal reasons I’ve personally requested that @ringfox1 induct me into the #WWEHOF ... I’m sure that anyone who knows Fit Finlay will not question my request."

Batista has praised Finlay many times through the years, saying of his friend and mentor a year ago, "People will never realize how great @ringfox1 was. And he will never tell you. Which makes him that much greater. FACT: Fit Finlay changed the direction of my career. #unsunghero"

Finlay was present throughout Batista's eight year WWE run from 2002 to 2010, as a trainer and producer, while also wrestling him on the SmackDown brand, after "The Belfast Bruiser" returned to the ring in 2006.
