Bayley Comments On Not Being Booked For WWE WrestleMania 37

No place on the card for the former SmackDown Women's Champion

WrestleMania 37 is only a few days away and unless any matches are announced at the last minute, the card is set for The Showcase Of The Immortals.

The likes of Drew McIntyre, Edge, Bianca Belair, Roman Reigns, Big E and Rhea Ripley will all have a chance to shine over the two-day event, but a number of popular Superstars find themselves with nothing to do at 'Mania, including former SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley.

Talksport asked The Role Model about not being booked for 'Mania and she admitted "it just didn't happen" this year.

"I cannot give you an honest answer, dude. I don't know. I'm sorry guys, it just didn't happen," she said.

This wasn't for a lack of trying, though, and Bayley revealed she pitched ideas for The Show Of Shows, but ultimately nothing was put in motion.

"I've pitched for stuff for this past WrestleMania just because there has been so many instances this past year where the pitches have gone through and it becomes easier to talk to certain people. My brain actually started working developing the more experienced I got [laughs]. So yeah, there's always ideas like that. I don't know how it goes for other people, but it's definitely open," Bayley added.

"I would have loved to have had a non-title match at WrestleMania. Just a grudge type of match. Something that meant, not more than a title, but was a little deeper than a title. But, there's always next year. I'm just so happy that more women are going to be represented and I know the two title matches are going to be killer so we can't really be bummed out about it, we got to look at the bright side I guess."

While Bayley looks set to miss out on this year's event, she joked she would face Lita or Michael Cole if an opportunity opened up.

"I would challenge Lita. I would just whoop Lita's little behind. Then my childhood could be happy and complete. Or I would jump the barricade and slap Michael Cole's headset off. Tell him to get in the ring and we'll settle it once and for all."
