Tony Khan: "Shaq Is The Greatest Celebrity Wrestler Of All Time"

Shaq made a big impression on Tony Khan

Back on the March 3 edition of Dynamite, Shaquille O'Neal stepped inside the squared circle for the first time in All Elite Wrestling and he and Jade Cargill managed to pick up the win against Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet.

Shaq was the latest in a long line of celebrities to step inside the ring and he seemingly impressed Tony Khan as AEW's president described him as "the greatest celebrity wrestler of all time" during an interview with Sports Illustrated

"Shaq is the greatest celebrity wrestler of all time. Backstage, I've never seen anyone come in and be more genuine, spend more time working on the craft for months, as well as paying respect to the wrestlers. This is one of the biggest stars in the world, and he came in to help us. He gave to the wrestling business in a way that was incredible, and I'd be remiss not to mention that," Khan said.

Shaq hasn't appeared on AEW programming since he vanished from an ambulance after his match, but Tony Khan told Mike Johnson of PWInsider that the retired basketball player wants to return to the promotion down the road.
