Bayley Reveals Original Planned Name For Damage CTRL

Bayley has shed more light on the original plans she had for Damage CTRL.

The former SmackDown Women's Champion noted to Ariel Helwani of BT Sport that she had been talking to Triple H about starting a faction for the past few years but the group ultimately did not come together until SummerSlam 2022 when she formed Damage CTRL with Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. 

Damage CTRL wasn't the original name of the stable, though, and Bayley revealed she wanted to name the faction 'The Now.' 

"My first original one, I wanted to be called The Now because to me, I didn't care about the championships I won in the past, I don't care about what happens next, these girls right here and what we're about to do, the present is all that matters," Bayley said.

That name wasn't available, however, with Bayley adding: "There's a show called The Now or something like that." 

The Now is a TV comedy series that aired on The Roku Channel in 2021 starring Dave Franco.
