SPOILERS: NJPW Star Teased For Future ROH Show

An NJPW star has been teased for a future ROH show

Ring of Honor wrapped up their first set of TV tapings this past weekend, and have seemingly set plans in motion for a major match between an ROH star and an NJPW star at a later date.

During the Sunday taping session on February 26, ROH PURE Champion Wheeler Yuta successfully defended his title against NJPW’s Clark Connors, in front of judges BJ Whitmer, Colt Cabana, and Dean Malenko.

Post-match, Yuta took the mic and cut a promo on the NJPW dojo, claiming that he was no longer a student, and wanted to prove himself by facing NJPW LA Dojo head Katsuyori Shibata, before he and BCC team-mate ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli held their titles aloft.

If Shibata accepts then surely the match will take place at ROH Supercard of Honor on March 31, and will see Shibata wrestle in an ROH ring for the first time in six years.

Shibata last wrestled in the USA in a singles bout with AEW All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy on an episode of AEW Rampage in November 2022.
