Bayley Says Attending Mercedes Moné's AEW Debut Was "Incredible"

Bayley was ecstatic to attend Mercedes Moné's debut with AEW

Two weeks ago at AEW Dynamite: Big Business, Mercedes Moné made her AEW debut, revealing that she had signed to Tony Khan’s promotion. In the news that followed, it was reported that she was among the very highest paid names in women’s wrestling today. During her debut, she cut a promo to open the show, and later came to the aid of Willow Nightingale in the main event segment.

Eagle-eyed fans in the crowd noticed Bayley, Naomi, and Tamina in attendance at Dynamite, who were watching on from the audience, cheering on their friend and showing support. In the past, Moné’s friends have been by her side during her NJPW/Stardom exploits, and the same was also done when Naomi was in TNA.

Bayley recently commented on Moné's debut and being in attendance when speaking to Digital Spy.

“She's the best. I wouldn't be here without her. She's done so much for me, even after she was done with WWE, she's been there for me in my big moments. So I know I need to be there for her continuously throughout the years. It was incredible. I'm just happy that she was on a Wednesday where I'm like, 'Alright, I can actually make a Wednesday, that's one of our few days off.' It was really special to see her celebrate that with her family and her friends and people she started wrestling with and see her welcomed by a new family. It's bittersweet, but I'm very, very, very proud of her and just so grateful we got to be there.”
