All Elite Wrestling tag team Bear Country thought about splitting up before their debut in the promotion, Bear Boulder revealed.

Speaking with Nicholson Student Media, Boulder stated: "Me and Joe actually thought about splitting up for a little while. But then when we got the shot at AEW, and after we killed it in our first time there, the fire was literally just back, like that. The fire reignited in that instant."

Prior to their AEW debut, Bear Country had teamed together on the independent wrestling scene since 2017, competing for the likes of CZW, Beyond Wrestling and Chaotic Wrestling. They would debut in AEW in December 2020 in a loss to Evil Uno and Stu Grayson on Dark and Tony Khan's promotion signed the tag team a few months later.

Since Bear Boulder returned to action in August, Bear Country have primarily been used on Dark and Dark: Elevation, but they recently appeared on Dynamite alongside Anthony Greene in a loss to Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston and Darby Allin.
