Becky Lynch Returns & Wins SmackDown Women's Title At WWE SummerSlam 2021

The Man is back and is Champion again!

The Man has come around!

Sixteen months since she last stepped in a WWE ring, when she announced her pregnancy back in May 2020, Becky Lynch made a shock return at WWE SummerSlam 2021.

As Bianca Belair prepared in the ring for her WWE SmackDown Women's Championship match against Sasha Banks, it was announced to the live audience that her advertised opponent, Sasha Banks, had not been cleared to compete. In Banks' absence, Belair would be defending the Title against...Carmella.

Carmella made her way to the ring, to complete silence from the live crowd. Belair got on the mic and told Banks she would face her real soon and the referee got prepared to start the match, to a chorus of loud boos.

However, those boos turned to instant elation as the familiar sound of Becky Lynch's theme-song blasted through the arena, with the WrestleMania 35 main-eventer making her way to the ring.

Lynch removed Carmella from the ring and challenged Belair to a match, there and then.

Belair accepted and, just 26 seconds later, Lynch hit the Champion with a Man-handle Slam to pick up the pin and her fifth Women's Championship.
