Becky Lynch Reveals She Watches AEW: "I Consider Them The Alternative”

“Competition is great. It’s great for the creative because I think it drives everybody.”

Becky Lynch has revealed she watches AEW, and considers All Elite ‘the alternative’ to WWE.

It’s common knowledge that wrestlers watch their competition, with industry friends usually separated by company lines supporting their pals from afar.

Lynch is no exception, and in conversation with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour, said the following:

“I watch everything. Competition is great. It’s great for the creative because I think it drives everybody. I think Vince McMahon works incredibly well when he’s pushed by competition. I think for the stars it gives options. If you don’t like vanilla, you can go with chocolate. If you don’t like strawberries, you can go with butterscotch. There’s options for fans, for wrestlers, and yeah it’s great.”

Lynch then went on to say how she sees AEW in relation to WWE:

“I consider them the alternative. Their product is different than our product. We offer a different product than they do.”

Whether it inspires better content from competing promotions, a new product for fans to tap into, or most importantly, just gives active wrestlers more places to work, there are far more positives to having multiple large wrestling companies operating, than negative.
