Becky Lynch Vs. Trish Stratus Steel Cage Match Advertised For WWE Payback
Payback will host a steel cage match
After the match between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus on the most recent Monday Night Raw went to a double countout, with the pair fighting into the crowd and into the arena, it was clear that the story between these two wasn’t over.
It seems as though the pair will next battle at the Payback event, going face-to-face inside a steel cage. Although the steel cage match was revealed on Raw, there was no big announcement, promo, or contract signing to set this match up for the Payback PPV, as it was advertised in a very under the radar manner - during an episode of Main Event (yes, Main Event still exists).
The PPV will take place in a few weeks time on September 2nd from Pittsburgh, with no other matches being yet announced for the show, this being the first. Trish Stratus won their initial encounter back at Night of Champions, and since then has been able to duck Lynch with disqualification and countout finishes to their subsequent two matches.
