Becky Lynch Wants Rhea Ripley Match To Open WWE WrestleMania 40

Becky Lynch wants to open WWE WrestleMania 40

Becky Lynch doesn’t feel slighted by not main eventing WrestleMania 40 and the multi-time women’s champion wants her Women’s World Title match against Rhea Ripley to open night one of WWE’s biggest show of the year.

"Nah, man, I'm not worried about card order. I would love to open the show. I would love that. I've never opened WrestleMania before. And to open this one, as big as it is in Philadelphia, I'm just putting that out there. It would be pretty cool because if it's not the main event, I always want to be the opening spot - it's always a great place on the card because people are so excited," Lynch told ClutchPoints

"Ooh, night one. I would love to open the whole of WrestleMania, you know what I'm saying? Just [to] be that first match for that whole event. [Opening the show will] give me enough time that I can relax and really enjoy Colby [Seth Rollins] main eventing WrestleMania and getting to watch him do that because that will be so special."

The match order for WrestleMania 40 has yet to be revealed, although the main event of both nights has been confirmed by WWE. Night one will see The Rock and Roman Reigns team together against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Cody Rhodes will then challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of night two.

WrestleMania 40 will emanate from Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field on April 6 and April 7.

While promoting her memoir, Becky Lynch revealed she and Charlotte Flair now have a "good" relationship.
