Bianca Belair Wins Raw Women's Title At WWE WrestleMania 38

A new champion crowned

Bianca Belair is the new Raw Women's champion, after defeating Becky Lynch on night one of WWE WrestleMania 38 in Dallas.

The ending came after Belair narrowly avoided a countout, sliding back in just before the referee counted ten. Lynch then attacked Belair with strikes and attempted a Manhandle Slam, but Belair managed to maneuver her way out and hit Lynch with the KOD for the win.

This is Belair's first reign as Raw Women's champion. She previously held the SmackDown Women's title for 133 days, after winning it from Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37. Lynch defeated Belair for the title in 26 seconds at last year's SummerSlam, then swapped belts with Charlotte Flair in October, following the annual draft. The SummerSlam match was Lynch's return bout from maternity leave.

Lynch's reign ends at 162 days. She became Raw Women's champion on the October 22 SmackDown, as a result of the aforementioned title switch.

Belair became the number one contender for the Women's title after winning an Elimination Chamber match last month in Jeddah, last eliminating Alexa Bliss to win.
