Big E: It's Hard To Fathom That Cesaro Hasn't Been WWE Champ
“Anyone who’s paid any attention, you understand how incredible he is, and he’s not slowing down at all.”
Wrestling fans have made themselves hoarse over the years yelling their support for Cesaro and wishing WWE would take notice and give ‘The Swiss Superman’ a run with a world title.
It’s not just the fans who are surprised that Cesaro has never been world champion though, as current WWE Champion Big E is also dumbfounded that Cesaro has yet to land the big one.
Speaking with Sportsnet about who he’d like to put the title on the line against, Big E singled Cesaro out for specific praise:
"I thought with the Draft, beforehand, a guy like Cesaro, a guy like Kevin Owens, you didn’t really know where guys were headed. But Cesaro has never been a world champion which is kind of hard to fathom, that’s hard to believe. I can’t speak highly enough about how incredible he is in the ring, not to mention an incredible human being. The man, as we all know, anyone who’s paid any attention, you understand how incredible he is, and he’s not slowing down at all. Just guys like that, guys that I think are extremely talented and haven’t had the same opportunities.”
Unfortunately, Big E and Cesaro are on separate brands following the Draft, so if Cesaro wants to try his lukc in the Main Event, he’ll have to focus on the Universal Title.
