Big E Stretchered Out Following Match On 3/11 WWE SmackDown

Following a rough landing at ringside

Big E was stretchered out of the ringside area following an awkward landing during a tag team match on Friday night's SmackDown in Birmingham, AL.

Big E teamed with New Day partner Kofi Kingston to take on Sheamus and Ridge Holland. Later in the bout, Big E brawled with Holland on the floor, where Holland attempted an overhead belly to belly suplex. However, Big E didn't fully rotate on the throw and landed on the top of his head on the floor.

The match ended shortly after the incident, when Sheamus pinned Kingston after throwing him off the top rope, then hitting Kingston with the Brogue Kick. This was following interference from new Sheamus and Holland associate Pete Dunne, who has been renamed "Butch".

Medical staff attended to Big E as the match came to an end, and stretchered him out of the ringside area. Fans in attendance noted that Big E did manage to give a "thumbs up" as he was taken away.

WWE has not yet provided a medical update on Big E's condition.
