Austin Theory

EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory made his official NXT debut at a house show in Daytona Beach last night. He took on Bronson Reed and even got mic time, a sign of big things to come.

Theory got the wrestling world talking after his scintillating showing at EVOLVE's recent appearance on the WWE Network, in which Paul Heyman appeared to give Theory a great deal of respect. He popped up again ringside for NXT TakeOver: Toronto.

The general consensus seems to be that Theory has all the tools to be a big deal over the course of his WWE career. Many also speculate that Theory could be a future WWE Champion.

WWE have a strong working relationship with EVOLVE and see them as a feeder territory for NXT. A lot of former EVOLVE Champions have also gone on to be major parts of WWE, including Drew McIntyre, Matt Riddle, and Imperium's Fabian Aichner (who won it while already signed with WWE).
