Bobbly Lashley Wins Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal & Issues WrestleMania Open Challenge

Bobby Lashley Issues An Open Challenge For WrestleMania 39 After Andre The Giant Battle Royal Win

Bobby Lashley’s WrestleMania 39 status may be up in the air, but he scored a big victory on the go-home SmackDown show as he emerged victorious in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Lashley last eliminated Bronson Reed to win the match, after outlasting a field which included the likes of Braun Strowman, LA Knight, Johnny Gargano, Baron Corbin, last year’s winner Madcap Moss, and several more. The match featured some notable moments such as the Maximum Male Models trying to turn on Otis, and a big face off between Lashley and Karrion Kross.

The Almighty joins a list of winners which includes wrestlers such as Cesaro, Big Show, Mojo Rawley, Matt Hardy, Braun Strowman, Jey Uso, and Madcap Moss. It isn’t clear if this win is a consolation prize for missing WrestleMania 39, or whether this will lead to him getting a spot. It previously seemed as though Lashley was going to face Bray Wyatt, but with the latter’s status being unclear, Lashley looks to be without a match on the card. He has seemingly issued an open challenge on Twitter though, so the outcome remains to be seen.
