Bobby Lashley Challenges Big E To WWE Title Match On 9/27 Raw

Big E won the title two weeks ago

A challenge has been issued for the September 27 episode of Monday Night Raw in Cincinnati, as Bobby Lashley has demanded a match with WWE champion Big E.

The two were on opposite sides of a six man tag that kicked off Extreme Rules on Sunday night, as Big E teamed with New Day teammates Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to defeat Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, and Omos.

The ending of the match was borne from a miscue, as Lashley and Styles got into a disagreement over who should go for the win. In the confusion, Lashley accidentally speared Styles. Big E then dropped Lashley with the Big Ending to win for his team.

In a subsequent backstage promo, Lashley called Big E a coward, and demanded a title match on Raw.

Lashley lost the WWE title to Big E on the September 13 episode of Raw. Big E cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase right after Lashley retained his title in singles action against Randy Orton. Lashley had reigned as champion since March 1.
