Sasha Banks Returns At WWE Extreme Rules

The Boss is back

Sasha Banks made her return to WWE on Sunday night at Extreme Rules in Columbus, making her first appearance with the company in well over a month.

Banks made her return during the SmackDown Women's title match pitting Becky Lynch against challenger Bianca Belair. Belair was attempting the KOD on the champion when Banks attacked her, drawing the disqualification.

After the DQ finish, Banks beat down both Belair and Lynch. She vowed to be on this week's broadcast of SmackDown, saying, "I'll see the two of you this Friday."

Banks was supposed to challenge Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women's title at SummerSlam. Banks, however, did not appear, unable to gain clearance to compete. In her place, Lynch made her surprise return after 15 months away, winning the title from Belair in an abbreviated match.

Banks has not wrestled since losing to Belair at a house show in Fort Myers, FL on August 7.

Banks reigned as SmackDown Women's champion for five and a half months from October 2020 to April 2021. She lost the belt to Belair on the first night of WrestleMania 37 in Tampa.
