Booker T: Adam Cole Shouldn't Leave WWE For AEW

Where will Cole end up?

Booker T doesn't think Adam Cole should depart WWE to sign with All Elite Wrestling.

Cole's WWE contract reportedly expired after The Great American Bash in July but the former NXT Champion agreed to a short-term extension through SummerSlam weekend. WWE is planning to offer the 32-year-old a new deal, but what Cole plans to do after NXT TakeOver 36 remains unknown.

Some believe Cole should join All Elite Wrestling and reunite with his former Bullet Club stablemates in The Elite, but Booker T thinks it would be smart for the former Undisputed ERA leader to remain with WWE.

"Adam Cole, one thing he needs to know, that AEW is going to be there for him. It's going to be there. So, you better get what you need to get out of this (WWE) for as long as you possibly can and then if something happens, you think about what comes next," Booker T said on the Hall Of Fame Podcast.

"You do the job to the best of your ability to whatever comes next. If that's his choice, that's his choice. But I think Adam Cole worked a hell of a long time to get to that point and to just throw it all away because of what you hear on social media, I just don't think that would be smart."

While Cole's match at NXT TakeOver 36 has yet to be officially announced, he is scheduled to face Kyle O'Reilly to complete their trilogy of NXT matches.
