Booker T: AEW's MJF Is The Modern-Day Ric Flair

Could Flair and MJF unite?

Booker T has compared All Elite Wrestling's Maxwell Jacob Friedman to Ric Flair, describing the Pinnacle leader as the modern-day version of The Nature Boy.

Flair's latest stint in WWE came to an end earlier this week after Vince McMahon granted him his release and Booker T gave his thoughts on the 17-time world champion and MJF working together in AEW.

"That right there (Flair and MJF teaming up) is pretty good because MJF, he is the modern-day Ric Flair. He really is. Sting-Darby Allin - how much of a parallel are those two? It's like looking in the mirror. So, c'mon, tell me that doesn't work? Just think about it, for one second, MJF and Ric Flair both donning the gold robes," Booker T said on the Hall Of Fame Podcast.

MJF being compared to The Nature Boy isn't entirely surprising as Friedman revealed last year that he has studied Flair when putting together his promos, naming him alongside Roddy Piper and Pinnacle manager Tully Blanchard.
