Booker T Confirms In-Ring Retirement

Booker has doubled down on retirement talk

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has confirmed that his wrestling days are over, following his surprise appearance in the 2023 Royal Rumble match.

The former World Heavyweight Champion entered the match at number 21 and lasted 42 seconds, before being eliminated by Gunther.

Booker previously said that he thought he was retired after it and has since doubled down on those comments during a recent episode of his The Hall of Fame podcast, saying "I just retired and I just put my retirement gear up on eBay".

He added "We looking for a stiff, stiff penny for the retirement gear of Booker T and I did that because I'm done. I'm finished".

Continuing, the 57-year-old said "I don't want to see tights, I don't want to see those boots, knee pads. Everything is going, one, one lump...that walk to the ring at the Rumble, that blew me, okay? I was done after that. They could've just threw him out of the ring as soon as I got in".

Booker debuted in 1986 and notably wrestled as a main event star for WCW, WWE and TNA, winning numerous titles and accolades throughout his illustrious career.
