Booker T Does Not Want To Be NXT General Manager, But Says He'd Probably Do It If WWE Asked

Booker T would become NXT GM if he has to

Booker T has been one of the voices of NXT for some time as one half of the commentary team with Vic Joseph, adding some excitement to the show in the form of food deliveries and bizarre noises straight from the desk. Booker T took up the role from Wade Barrett, who got promoted to the main roster.

He is quite happy on the commentary desk as of now and isn’t interested in doing anything else. He spoke on his Hall of Fame podcast, turning his head at the idea of being the General Manager for the developmental brand, but did note that if called upon, he would do it.

"It’s not something I would want to do, but I would probably do it, just because I’m a team player. It’s just another job, more than anything. I’ve always looked at myself like a utility guy. I like doing commentary. If they want to shift me to do a GM thing, I would do it. It’s just another role."

NXT doesn’t currently have a General Manager, but both RAW and SmackDown have been given their own authority figures recently in the form of Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis.
