Booker T: "I Never Wanted To Go To WWE"

He would have preferred to stay in WCW

While Booker T would have successful runs in WWE from 2001 until the present day, being presented as one of the company's top stars during his first stint with the company, the six-time world champion revealed on the Notsam Wrestling Podcast that he never wanted to join Vince McMahon's promotion and he would have preferred to finish his career with WCW.

"No, I never wanted to go to WWE, I would rather have stayed in WCW forever and finished my career out there. But then again, when you get put in a situation, you've got to deal with it. I went from being a kid on the street that got locked up in prison, the first time being in jail. I'm going to tell you right now, if you don't know how to deal with any situation you're put in, you're going to find life really, really hard," Booker said.

The WWE Hall Of Famer spent eight years in World Championship Wrestling, becoming a 10-time WCW Tag Team Champion and five-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion before the promotion was bought by WWE in 2001. Booker T then debuted in WWE at King Of The Ring 2001 to kick off the invasion angle.
