Booker T Told Big E He'd Be WWE Champion One Day At WrestleMania 35

Booker T saw a title reign in Big E's future

Booker T saw Big E as a future WWE Champion.

Big E captured the WWE Title on the September 13 edition of Monday Night Raw after cashing in the Money In The Bank contract. Fans had been pushing for Big E to be given a big singles push for years and The New Day man finally received a singles run in the summer of 2020.

That journey would culminate with his first WWE Title reign and Booker T revealed he told E at WrestleMania 35 that he would have his own reign with the gold one day.

"Over the last week, he and I actually discussed a few things. One of the things we discussed was that night after Kofi Kingston won the title. I found Big E in a spot where it seemed like he was thinking about something, and I just pulled him aside and said, 'Hey man, don't worry about nothing, man. Your time will come. You're going to have your run [with the title], trust me.' I don't know if he fully believed it. I said, 'Trust me, you’re going to have your run,'" Booker T said on his Hall Of Fame Podcast.

"Now, we're here, and hopefully he'll make the best of it. He didn't remember it 'til I said something about it, and he goes, 'I remember you came up to me and said you're going to have your run,'" Booker added.

Big E's New Day teammate Kofi Kingston kicked off his own WWE Championship reign at WrestleMania 35 after he defeated Daniel Bryan for the gold.
