Brandi Rhodes Teases WWE Return For Match With Rhea Ripley

Could we see Brandi Rhodes vs. Rhea Ripley in WWE?

Brandi Rhodes has teased a possible future WWE match against Rhea Ripley, following an altercation between the WWE SmackDown Women's Champion and Cody Rhodes on last night's Raw.

Cody was cheap-shotted by Dominik Mysterio, who then retreated behind Rhea for protection. Ripley goaded Cody into attacking her, but he refused, leading Brandi to post the following on Twitter: "Papa wont hit Mami... but Mommy will."

Ripley responded with a gif of herself performing a crotch chop taunt.

Brandi has not made an official onscreen appearance in WWE since Cody's return to the company, barring behind-the-scenes features (and a brief appearance on the pre-show of WrestleMania 39.) Brandi worked for WWE as a ring announcer between 2013 and 2016, before leaving alongside her husband in May 2016, and ultimately becoming Chief Brand Officer of AEW.

The pair left AEW in 2022, and although Brandi did occasionally compete in-ring in AEW, she is yet to do so in WWE. Her last match came on January 26, 2022, where she defeated KiLynn King on an episode of AEW Dark: Elevation.
