Bray Wyatt Reportedly Cleared For In-Ring Return Two Days Before WWE Release
Wyatt also reportedly signed a new WWE contract last year

Bray Wyatt was reportedly cleared by WWE for an in-ring return just two days before the company decided to release him.
Wyatt and WWE parted ways on Saturday in a move that shocked fans and other members of the talent roster alike. Neither Wyatt or 'The Fiend' have been seen on WWE television since the Monday Night Raw following WrestleMania 37 in April, with rumours rampant in that time about the 34-year-old's absence.
Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated has now shed more light on the situation, reporting that Wyatt was dealing with an 'undisclosed physical ailment' that was not concussion-related. Wyatt was finally cleared of the problem on Thursday 29 July before being released by WWE two days later.
Barrasso also reports that Wyatt had signed a new, multi-million dollar deal with WWE in 2020 on the back of the merchandising success of his 'Fiend' character.
With it previously reported that Wyatt's release came as a result of WWE President Nick Khan's and CFO Kristina Salen's determination to keep the promotion from even slightly encroaching into the red financially, it appears the company determined that Wyatt was no longer worth the hefty investment.
