Bret Hart poses in the middle of the ring following his WWE return in September of 2024.

Bret Hart feels as though WWE don't fully appreciate him after an incident that took place during SummerSlam weekend.

During a recent interview that took place at Vaughan Comic Con, The Hitman revealed that WWE invited him to the two-day premium live event with the intention of showing him sitting in the crowd. When he got there, however, the company informed him that there wasn't a seat for him.

"They invited me down…told me they wanted me to be in the crowd. And then they told me once I got there, they told me they didn't have any seats. But I noticed Kevin Nash got a seat. Maybe I finally realised that I don't feel they fully appreciate me, even after Hulk [Hogan's] passing. There's no certain appreciation for anything I did," he said.

Bret's name is certainly in contention for 'Mr. SummerSlam', with his matches against the likes of Mr. Perfect, The British Bulldog, Owen Hart and The Undertaker widely considered some of the very best in the show's history.

Earlier this year, Bret became the first (and thus far only) three-time WWE Hall of Famer when his WrestleMania 13 match with Steve Austin was inducted as an Immortal Moment.

The 68-year-old recently expressed his belief that today's wrestlers would be better off if they copied him more.
