Brian Cage Reveals Why He Signed With AEW

The Machine debuted at Double Or Nothing...

Back at Double Or Nothing 2020, Brian Cage was revealed as the mystery participant in the Casino Ladder Match. The Machine put on a dominant display as he demolished the other eight competitors and retrieved the casino chip from above the ring. He will now face Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at Fight For The Fallen 2020 on July 15.

The former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion was the most recent guest on the AEW Unrestricted podcast and he revealed why he signed for All Elite Wrestling.

"There was multiple factors of why I came here instead of staying where I was, or going elsewhere for that matter," Cage said. "Personally, I was more excited to come here than anywhere else. That wasn't the be-all and end-all, but that's why I wanted to come. Secondly, I felt like for me to break through the barrier that I've kind of like been capped at with as far as the reach that I've had, the opportunity was here.

"Most importantly, this place had the most amount of not only unique or awesome matches that I wanted, but so many of them are first time ever whereas almost everywhere elsewhere were a lot of repeats. Which isn't a bad thing, but there were just so many matches that I wanted that I haven't ever had, period, that... artistically speaking, I'm like, 'Well, I feel like this would be the most fun place to go.'"
