Brian Myers Returns To IMPACT Wrestling

Straight to the main event...

Almost five years after his last match in TNA, Brian Myers returned to IMPACT Wrestling on last night's episode of IMPACT!. The former WWE Superstar revealed he had signed for the promotion three weeks ago in a backstage vignette and he was elevated straight to the main event last night.

To end the show, IMPACT World Champion Eddie Edwards made his way to the ring and challenged Eric Young to a world title match. EY didn't answer the open challenge, however, and Brian Myers made his way to the ring instead.

The Most Professional Wrestler and Edwards then went one on one for the world title and both wrestlers battled back and forth in an even contest. The former Raw Tag Team Champion even almost picked up the win after a DDT but Mr. AIP got his shoulder up at two. Myers didn't get another chance as Edwards caught him with the Boston Knee Party moments later for the 1-2-3.

What The Most Professional Wrestler will do next remains to be seen, but he seemingly plans to stick around in the world title picture as he tweeted:  "No shame in losing to @TheEddieEdwards. He's one of the best. But, so am I. I'll be @IMPACTWRESTLING Champion soon enough. I'm the most professional wrestler. Enjoy the ride. #IMPACTonAXSTV."
