Brie Bella Injured At WWE SummerSlam

The Bella Twins are riddled with bad luck. At SummerSlam 2026 Saturday, Nikki Bella returned to the ring for the first time since she was ruled out with injury, which caused her to miss WrestleMania 42 and ultimately be replaced by Paige, who went on to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. At SummerSlam, disaster struck again. 

Early during the match between The Bella Twins & Paige and Fatal Influence, seemingly when Jacy Jayne hit a cannonball into the steel steps, Brie Bella’s arm was caught and she was seen holding her shoulder in the aftermath. Throughout the rest of the bout, Bella could be heard saying in the ring that her shoulder was hurt, and post-match it was even more clear that there was an issue. The Bella Twins turned heel following their loss, attacking Paige in the process. However, Brie Bella stood to the side holding her shoulder as twin sister Nikki did all the physical work. As the two walked to the back, the focus was mostly on Nikki with Brie off to the side. 

In the SummerSlam post-show press conference, Triple H commented on Brie Bella and confirmed an injury. 

“She is injured. I don’t have an update yet. She got some treatment here, has been taken to the hospital to get some scans done. Don’t have a clean answer on it yet. I know she hurt her shoulder. Seems pretty bad, but I don’t have that answer yet.  Hopefully we will soon, and it won’t be as bad as we thought it was. But that’s the nature of the game. We’ll pivot accordingly for everything. It’s unfortunate, I hate it, this part of the business.”
