Brie Bella To Be Out Of Action For 3-6 Months Due To Broken Scapula

Brie Bella has announced that she will be out of action for three to six months due to the broken scapula (shoulder blade) she suffered at WWE SummerSlam.

Brie addressed speaking to a doctor at a local hospital following SummerSlam on the Nikki & Brie Show:

"He was like, 'It's really hard to break your scapula, and no one does surgeries on scapulas. If you really want it, there is one doctor that can do it, but honestly it’s like breaking your ribs in a way. You just wait until they slowly heal.' So that’s what I have to do. I have to get x-rays every two weeks to make sure I am healing. I don’t start PT for another two weeks, so they really want me to be bedridden. From there, I'm out three to six months, so it all depends how my scapula heals."

Brie Bella teamed with Nikki Bella and Paige against Fatal Influence on night one of SummerSlam. Brie sustained the broken shoulder blade following a cannonball from Jacy Jayne into the steel steps.

The Bella Twins have been affected by injuries for much of 2026. Just two months after their reunion at the 2026 Royal Rumble, Nikki sustained a broken ankle that kept her out of action until SummerSlam. The twins have only teamed together on three occasions since January as a result of their injuries.
