Britt Baker Claims To Have Broken Wrist, Says She Won't Miss Time

The injury was sustained on Wednesday night

AEW Women's champion Britt Baker revealed she sustained a broken wrist during her championship match on Wednesday night.

The injury occurred during Baker's successful title defense against Nyla Rose on the second night of Fyter Fest in Dallas, during (according to F4WOnline) a death valley driver spot.

Baker revealed the injury while posting a photo to Twitter of her and MMA star Paige VanZant at a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship card in Tampa. In the photo, a cast can be seen around Baker's hand.

She noted that she has no plans to take time off.

Baker wrote, "With @paigevanzant …And oh yeah, I retained the title on Wednesday night at #aewdynamite with a broken wrist. Not taking any time off either. #AndStill"

Baker won the AEW Women's championship from Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing on May 30. Her win over Rose on Wednesday was her first title defense.

Though Baker says she doesn't plan to miss time due to the injury, any deference to a normal six-week recovery time for a break would have her back just before All Out on September 5.
