Indi Hartwell Works Dark Match At WWE SmackDown Tapings

Along with several other NXT talents

Indi Hartwell becomes the latest NXT star to work a dark match prior to a main roster WWE TV taping.

Hartwell was on hand at Friday night's SmackDown taping in Cleveland, where she lost to Aliyah prior to the live broadcast. Another dark match saw Austin Theory lose to Odyssey Jones.

The latter three talents have already worked dark matches at recent tapings, while this was the first for Hartwell.

The match was Hartwell's first since dropping the NXT Women's Tag Team titles (alongside partner Candice LeRae) to Io Shirai and Zoey Stark at The Great American Bash on July 6. The two had become champions on May 4, defeating Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart.

After three and a half years as a pro, Hartwell signed with WWE in November of 2019. She made her televised NXT debut as part of a battle royal on January 15, 2020.

Later that year, Hartwell aligned with LeRae after assisting her in an NXT Women's title match at Halloween Havoc. Together with Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory, they comprised The Way.
