Britt Baker dropped the AEW Women’s World Championship to Thunder Rosa on March 16

The DMD is over for now, as Britt Baker dropped the AEW Women’s Championship to long-time rival Thunder Rosa at Dynamite St. Patrick’s Day Slam 2022 in an hellacious cage match.
Baker held the title for 290 days, and wrote the following on Twitter after her loss:
“While others relax & recover on their day off, I’m just now leaving the dental office for the day - bruised and cut up, on 2 hours of sleep after traveling half way across the country. I might have lost, but I ave you all the best damn women’s championship reign that none of you undeserving idiots will appreciate until I’m champion again. This will always be my division. To all those I paved the way for, you’re welcome. D.M.D.”
Baker’s reign with the title is the second longest in the history of the championship, with DMD defeating longest reigning champion Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing 2021, cementing her status as the face of the division after rising to prominence in the now legendary Light’s Out match with Thunder Rosa at St. Patrick’s Day Slam 2021.
