Britt Baker Reveals Her Back Injury Is 'Getting Worse’

Britt Baker’s back injury is seemingly ‘getting worse’

Despite being regarded as one of the ‘pillars of AEW’, Britt Baker has only wrestled in a few matches so far in 2023, with a back injury limiting the former AEW Women’s World Champion’s in-ring time.

The recent debut of AEW All Access featured several shots of Baker being treated for her back injury, and during a conversation with ComicBook.com, Baker revealed that her back is getting worse:

"Unfortunately it's getting worse. Now it's like a neck and a back problem, but it's manageable. I'm tough, so I'll always find ways to work. My championship reign was with a broken wrist. So I'll figure it out one way or another. You've got to work your way around it, sometimes maybe trick your body into thinking, 'Eh, it doesn't really hurt that bad.'"

Baker last wrestled at the first AEW House Rules live show on March 18, but has only managed three televised matches this year, with a Three-Way loss to Ruby Soho on February 15, and two tag victories alongside Jamie Hayter in early January.

Despite her back issues, Baker is still constantly featured on AEW TV, with the feud between the AEW originals and The Outcasts ramping up week-by-week.
