A certain National Treasure would already be on the WWE roster if the company had agreed with several contracted wrestlers.

According to Fight Fans, several WWE talents wanted the organisation to sign Nick Aldis earlier this year after his contract with the National Wrestling Alliance expired at the end of 2022. However, there reportedly doesn't appear to be much interest in signing Aldis from WWE management. There is no word on why that is the case.

WWE management currently consists of the likes of Triple H, Bruce Prichard, Nick Khan, and Vince McMahon, among others.

Aldis had been the NWA's top star over the past several years and he reigned as NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion for 1309 days over two reigns between December 2017 and August 2021. He left the NWA in 2022 after a fallout with the promotion, being suspended for his final months with the company.

Aldis has performed on the independents since his NWA exit. He is also the reigning Stu Hart Heritage Champion, having won the belt from Davey Boy Smith Jr. in October 2022.
