Brock Lesnar & Becky Lynch Teased For August 27 WWE SmackDown

The duo returned at SummerSlam

WWE is teasing appearances from both Brock Lesnar and Becky Lynch on the post-SummerSlam episode of Friday Night SmackDown this week.

Lesnar and Lynch both made shocking returns to the WWE at the Allegiant Stadium on Saturday. Lynch replaced the absent Sasha Banks and defeated Bianca Belair in 27 seconds to become the new SmackDown Women's Champion, while Lesnar confronted Universal Champion Roman Reigns to close out the pay-per-view.

An advertisement for SmackDown, which aired during this week's Monday Night Raw, has hinted at fallout from the events at SummerSlam.

The advert had a voice-over, which said: "“Two returns shocked the world. This Friday. The Man came back around and re-claimed her place at the top. What’s next for the new SmackDown Women’s Champion? Plus… The Beast is back. With his focus set on The Head of The Table, does destruction await the Universal Champion?"

It should be noted that the WWE website listing, and the arena website, do not have either Lesnar or Lynch down as advertised talent for the show this Friday.

Should either be in attendance, it will be the first time Lesnar or Lynch has featured on the blue brand since late 2019. Lynch was involved in the FOX Sports Premiere in early October, while Lesnar quit SmackDown for Raw as WWE Champion a month later.
