The road to WrestleMania 42 has reportedly seen a whole host of changed plans so far, many of which have caused some backstage frustrations with the booking decisions from Triple H. Speculation arose regarding plans for Brock Lesnar during the Royal Rumble 2026 PLE due to a face off with Oba Femi, but news has emerged on another potential opponent for the Beast Incarnate at WrestleMania in Las Vegas.

Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is reported that WWE’s original plans for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 see him go head-to-head with LA Knight. It is believed that Lesnar’s return on the February 23 episode of RAW will feature the start towards his WrestleMania build, though it isn’t 100% known whether WWE’s late-January plans of an LA Knight match will be followed up.

At the Royal Rumble itself, Lesnar was eliminated by both Cody Rhodes & LA Knight, perhaps signalling a potential showdown. It was noted in recent weeks that plans for a Lesnar match with Oba Femi were not a sure thing despite their showdown at the Royal Rumble.
