Brock Lesnar 'Withdrawn' From WWE Royal Rumble

Brock Lesnar not scheduled for WWE Royal Rumble

Brock Lesnar reportedly won't be involved at the Royal Rumble.

Brock Lesnar was implicated in the lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon by former WWE employee Janel Grant in which McMahon was accused of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and emotional and physical abuse. While Lesnar was not directly named, he was confirmed by the Wall Street Journal to be the wrestler that Vince McMahon directed Janel Grant to produce "personalized sexual content" for, among other incidents.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has since reported that Lesnar has been "withdrawn" from the Royal Rumble and an NXT talent will replace him in the men's Royal Rumble match. Lesnar was originally scheduled to return in the men's Rumble match, having been off WWE TV since SummerSlam 2023 in August.

The belief within WWE is that under the old regime, Vince McMahon would have booked Lesnar "no matter what." With TKO now running the company, though, the feeling is the organisation will be more aware of how a Lesnar appearance would be perceived. Vince McMahon resigned as TKO Executive Chairman on Friday night

PWInsider noted that at this point, Lesnar is still under contract with WWE.
