SPOILER On Former Champion Returning At WWE Royal Rumble

Former champion returning at WWE Royal Rumble

A former champion will be returning to WWE at the Royal Rumble.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Trinity (AKA Naomi) is expected to return as a surprise entrant in the 2024 women's Royal Rumble. Trinity recently finished up with TNA Wrestling at the promotion's January 19 TV tapings. She had been Knockouts World Champion but dropped the belt to Jordynne Grace at Hard To Kill.

The belief within WWE is that Trinity has signed with the company and will be returning on a full-time basis. Tonight will be her first appearance in WWE since she and Mercedes Moné (AKA Sasha Banks) walked out of WWE over a creative dispute with Vince McMahon.

After Naomi finished up with TNA, the expectation was she would be returning to WWE.

During her first run with WWE from 2009 until 2022, Naomi became a two-time SmackDown Women's Champion and one-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion with Sasha Banks.

Another talent planned to return in the women's Royal Rumble is Liv Morgan. She has been out of action since July 2023 with a shoulder injury. Upon her return, Morgan is expected to receive a big push on WWE TV.

A talent from TNA Wrestling is also expected to make their WWE debut in the women's Royal Rumble.
