Bronson Reed Wins Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Bronson Reed is this year's Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner

The 10th annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal was held last night on Friday Night SmackDown, continuing the tradition of recent years in which the match is held on the go-home edition of the blue brand before WrestleMania, instead of on the WrestleMania card or pre-show, like it was up to 2019.

The closing stages of the match saw a final six of Bronson Reed, Ricochet, Ivar, JD McDonagh, Otis, and Akira Tozawa, who battled it out to claim the big trophy. The action whittled things down to the final two of Reed and Ivar, with the two meaty men battling out to score the victory. In the end, it was Reed who scored the victory, which is arguably the biggest of his main roster WWE career thus far.

Reed now joins the list of previous winners which include Cesaro, Big Show, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Matt Hardy, Braun Strowman, Jey Uso, Madcap Moss, and Bobby Lashley.

Although we didn’t get to see Big E's desired “Meaty Man Invitational”, this showdown between Ivar and Reed in which the crowd showered them in chants of “meat” was the closest he got to it.
