Bryan Danielson Challenges Kazuchika Okada To A Match At Wrestle Kingdom

Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada will battle in a massive Wrestle Kingdom rematch

Hold onto your hats, Bryan Danielson will finally be at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom event. During the NJPW Power Struggle show, a video package aired which saw Bryan Danielson issue another challenge to Kazuchika Okada - this time for Wrestle Kingdom 18 next year at the Tokyo Dome.

Following Kazuchika Okada’s successful defense of the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Titles alongside Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tomohiro Ishii, Danielson’s challenge was sent out, to which Okada responded with one simple word - yes.

Danielson and Okada previously battled earlier this year at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV event, in a match where Danielson broke his arm, forcing him to wrestle the latter portion of the bout with just one arm available to use. Danielson scored the win via a submission, but the two men weren’t able to fully go at it due to Danielson’s injury. The pair met again in the ring two weeks ago on AEW Dynamite in tag team action.

This will mark the first time in nearly two decades that Danielson has competed in a NJPW ring, and it will be his first ever time competing at the Wrestle Kingdom event.
