Bryan Danielson Challenges Kazuchika Okada To Match At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door
Bryan Danielson vs. Kazuchika Okada is set
A dream match has been set for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Following the successful defense of the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Titles from the trio of Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii and Hiroshi Tanahashi, a huge announcement took place on the 2023 NJPW Dominion PPV event. Jon Moxley took to the mic following his loss in the match alongside Claudio Castagnoli and Shota Umino, stating that whilst many call Okada the best in the world, there is someone in the Blackpool Combat Club’s ranks who he considers better.
He gave way to a video package on the tron in which Bryan Danielson laid out a challenge to Okada. Back in the ring, Okada took to the mic to accept the challenge for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, which is set to take place later this month on Sunday, June 25 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
This follows up on the announcement that Kenny Omega would be defending the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship against Will Ospreay at Forbidden Door too, with the card starting to really take shape.
