Bryan Danielson Requires Surgery, Expected To Be Out For Remainder Of The Year

Bryan Danielson has picked up another injury

Bryan Danielson’s AEW career has reached another roadblock, as he suffered yet another injury on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite which will rule him out of the ring until at least the end of the year.

During a tag team match in which he teamed with Claudio Castagnoli to take on Kazuchika Okada and Orange Cassidy on Wednesday, Danielson suffered from a broken orbital bone which will require surgery, as revealed on last night’s AEW Collision. It was noted by Tony Schiavone that Danielson would be ruled out for the rest of the year due to this injury.

Danielson had only returned to the ring early last month after being on the sidelines with a broken arm suffered at the Forbidden Door event. Prior to that he’d wrestled just three matches in three months due to being banged up. Any thoughts of this being a work from AEW were debunked, with PWInsider reporting that the injury is in fact legit, and Danielson needs time off.
